Album: The Modern Arts Guitar Quartet


This 1994 recording of all-original compositions for guitar quartet captures the bold and brilliant ensemble exploring the leading edges of music for classical guitar with a "take no prisoners" attitude missing from most new music for classical guitar. The Modern Arts Guitar Quartet (1991-1995) was Buzz Gravelle, Walter Marsh, James Phillipsen, and Lawrence Schwedler. The newly re-mastered album will be available in early 2010
