In-class Analysis: Take Me Out to the Ballgame. Star Spangled Banner. Selected classical repertoire excerpts (handouts), Bach Prelude in C major from the Well-Tempered Clavier, book 1(handout), Bach chorale excerpt from the self test at the end of Chapter 17.
Homework: Identifying Secondary Dominant Chords handout. Due Monday of Week 3.
Musicianship Quiz #1: prepared singing from the Kodaly book, pgs. 88-89. Monday or Wednesday of week 3.
